Position
Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our operations and contribute to our growth and success.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the complex, including budget management, strategic planning, daily operations, revenue generation, and community and public relations.
This role is crucial in maintaining a fun and engaging culture while ensuring the complex meets its financial and operational goals.
Key
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Development:
o Develop and implement a strategic plan that aligns with the complex's mission and objectives.
o Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including new programs and revenue streams.
Budget and Financial Oversight:
o Manage the complex's budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
o Oversee financial reporting, planning, and analysis to ensure optimal financial health.
Day-to-Day Operations Management:
o Ensure smooth operation of the sports complex, maintaining high standards of service and facility upkeep.
o Coordinate and supervise staff to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
o Recruit, train, and manage staff, ensuring they are fully equipped to meet the needs of the complex and its patrons.
Revenue Creation:
o Design and implement innovative strategies to generate revenue, including marketing initiatives, sponsorships, and special events.
o Analyze market trends to effectively position the complex in the competitive landscape.
Community and Public Relations:
o Act as the face of the complex in interactions with the community, public, and media.
o Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, and businesses to enhance community engagement.
Creating a Fun and Inclusive Culture:
o Promote a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for all visitors and staff.
o Implement programs that cater to diverse groups, emphasizing accessibility and inclusivity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in management, preferably in a sports or recreational facility.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams effectively.
Excellent budgeting, financial planning, and resource management skills.
Outstanding communication and public relations abilities.
Ability to develop strategic plans and drive business growth.
