Yakima, WA Yakima, WA Full-time Full-time $50,000 - $60,000 a year $50,000 - $60,000 a year Orchard & Vineyard Supply is currently looking for a Supply Chain Planner I at our corporate headquarters located in the 'Palm Springs of the West', Yakima, WA.
This position is responsible for monitoring and managing organizational inventories, forecasting sales, recommending stock levels, and issuing purchase orders to ensure consistent product availability.
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this cross-functional role that will serve as the main point of contact for our vendors and will work closely with our outside sales, retail channel, marketing, and finance teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Planning and Purchasing Creation of short- and long-term purchasing plans aligning supply and demand to support inventory needs.
Monitor the flow of materials, from purchase to customer delivery, ensuring that issues are communicated to key stakeholders.
Set preferred retail stock levels to maximize product availability while minimizing excess inventory risks.
Assist in the design, creation, and rollout of new processes and tools to help improve the planning functions of supply chain.
Collaboration and Communication Become a category owner/expert across multiple facets of the specialty agriculture crop management business.
Communicate product availability information and resolve issues with customers and sales representatives.
Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain the quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance.
Data and Analytics Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators.
Maintain ERP data integrity.
Own new SKU creation and process for assigned product categories.
Education Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, math, or supply chain management preferred.
Will consider candidates with combination of education and experience.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience Experience in retail supply chain methodologies is highly preferred.
ERP/MRP software experience preferred, Net Suite highly preferred.
Agricultural product knowledge is preferred.
