Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.
The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges.
Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population.
The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.

Summary:
The Assistant Director of ODEI Program Development is responsible for ODEI programs and strategic initiatives.
These programs include oversight and development of the Roots to Wings (RTW), Summer Research Preparatory Yearlong Program (SRPYP) and pathways partnerships.
The position will conduct coordinate, deliver, and assess pathway curriculum, research, mentoring and expand school/university partnerships.
This position will assist with the development of the formal transformative co-mentoring program and analysis of qualitative research data.
Reports to the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer.
Essential Job Functions:
o Leads RTW and SRPYP programs o Conducts research o Develops and delivers Middle and High School appropriate curricula o Fosters current and establishes new collaborative partnerships with schools/universities o Develops K-12 credit granting opportunities for pathway programs o Represents PNWU at assigned events and meetings interfacing with students, parents, and others o Responsible for annual department goals and objectives development and assuring alignment with university strategic goals and direction o Understands accreditation standards and expectations specific to the department and adheres to policies and procedures to meet or exceed such standards o Conducts self appropriately and consistently in accordance with the philosophy and mission of PNWU o Other duties as assigned Requirements Education:

Experience:
o Experience in developing pathway programs Desired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong organization, interpersonal, and planning skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a team and flexibility to work with others in a variety of circumstances; ability to problem solve by analyzing issues and creating action plans; ability to manage projects and people and prioritize and self-direct workflow; and ability to work with and manage different computer programs and databases.
