Job Description:
The Accounting Technician assists in the processing of the accounts payable, and receivable as required, with a focus on maintaining the general ledger and reconciling the books.
They support the preparation of financial statements and year-end filing.
RESPONSIBLITIES Efficiently manage and analyze monthly financial reports for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Ensure sure all invoices are approved and entered into the accounting system.
Simplify and streamline payments for purchasing orders and invoices.
Efficiently managing all invoices and check requisitions.
Efficiently handle vendor statements, payments, and discrepancies with monthly reconciliation and attentive oversight.
Ensure all invoices have the necessary documentation and agreements before making any payments.
Streamline tax paperwork by collecting W2's from vendors and effortlessly generating year-end 1099 forms.
ensure the accuracy and completeness of purchase orders.
Expedite orders when needed - keeping stakeholders informed about order status.
Ensure the integrity of the supply chain system for purchase orders.
Alert internal customers and purchasing manager about order delays.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Education:
Bachelor's Degree, specializing in accounting; or 2-4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience:
Bilingual preferred.
General accounting systems Accounts payable systems Purchasing systems Microsoft Office suite (Intermediate) WORKING CONDITIONS Comprehension Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and written instructions or other information.
Reasoning and Decision Making Ability to plan, organize, and carry out assignments from management staff with minimal direction.
Ability to analyze situations and make decisions that moderately impact the immediate work unit.
Organization Ability to organize and prioritize job duties effectively and timely, set priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
Communication Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, and communicate orally.
Physical requirements for this position include hearing, seeing, smelling, speaking, feeling, reaching, pinching, and repetitive motions.
This position requires standing, walking, and bending for long periods.
This position may require exerting up to 40 pounds of force to lift, carry, pull, or move objects.
