The Respite Child Care Assistant helps parents to care for their children and models caring for children in ways that meet the emotional, intellectual, social, health, and physical needs of their children. The ideal candidate for this position must have a High School diploma or GED and previous experience in a position with similar duties. He or she must be able to maintain written records and interact appropriately with children, patients, staff, and others. In addition, he or she must maintain patient privacy and confidentiality while both on and off duty. Fluent English speaking and writing skills and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
