Secretary to the Area Manager, Deputy Area Manager, and Assistant Area Manager. Plans, coordinates, and carries out day-to-day clerical activities and administrative support by providing support to management for special projects and secretarial support. Greets visitors in person and over the phone; personally, assists with information or directs to other personnel. As principal correspondence expert:
receives, directs, and controls incoming correspondence; formats and reviews outgoing correspondence; provides advice on correspondence policies and practices. Assesses administrative operations to propose solutions to inefficiencies. Specialized Experience Requirements:
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that the applicant meets the specialized experience requirement - this information must be included in the resume. To qualify at the GS-05 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 in Federal service. Specialized experience at this level is defined as:
experience serving in an administrative position where you've assisted in the accomplishment of office functions; prepared correspondence; or communicating with employees, the public, and government officials; OR 4 years above high school; OR a combination of successfully completed post-high school education and specialized experience that together fully meets the requirements. To qualify at the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 in Federal service. Specialized experience at this level is defined as:
experience serving in an administrative position where you've managed an office function such as mail, time and attendance, records management, or scheduling annual physical examinations for employees; preparing and tracking correspondence; communicating with employees, the public, and governmental officials; preparing and managing travel arrangements; or reconciling credit card statements with travel documents. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement, applicants must show possession of a certificate of proficiency, or by self-certify their proficiency of 40 words per minute typing speed. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Applicants will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If selected, the selectee will be required to provide official college transcripts to verify educational qualifications. An official transcript bears the University Seal and a signature certifying its authenticity and must be provided from the institution awarding the degree. Academic transcripts certified by notary publics are NOT official. Official transcripts must be submitted prior to reporting to work as a condition of employment. Failure to submit official transcripts may be grounds for dismissal or rescission of the job offer.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
