Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing and preparing accurate and concise police reports containing all pertinent information and the ability to follow established guidelines for format. Experience with knowledge of report formats, procedures and basic grammar for finalizing accurate reports. Experience with procedures related to the search and seizure of evidence and contraband and the securing of a crime scene. Experience must have provided knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). One year of specialized experience at the second lower grade level (GS-07) is creditable for in-service applicants. There is no position in the normal line of progression within the organization that is one grade lower than the position being filled. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-08) or must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-07) .

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
