Supervisory Social Worker

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Supervises a group of employees performing work at various GS levels and provides administrative, technical, and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the program Performs the administrative and personnel management function relative to staff supervised. Incumbent will work with the Homeless Program Coordinator to establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff, clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system Provides informal feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance. Incumbent works to resolve informal complaints and grievances Reviews and approves or disapproves leave requests. Incumbent assures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations Responsible for furthering the goals of equal employment opportunity (EEO) by taking positive steps to assure the accomplishment of affirmative action objectives and by adhering to nondiscriminatory employment practices in regard to race, color, religion, sex, and affirmative action for the area under incumbent supervision in the following:

Exercises supervisor authorities and responsibilities involving work assignment and review, as well as the administrative and personnel management functions relative to the staff supervised Performs a wide range of services and provides technical assistance to State, local, and private agencies, and universities Performs case finding functions and community outreach, identifying and screening veterans for psychosocial needs Possess the knowledge and ability to independently implement treatment modalities, provide counseling or psychotherapy for individuals, families and groups Performs site visits of Housing Authority approved apartments to ensure that Veterans reside in safe environments in compliance with local housing codes responsible to comply with the following:
HUD/VASH Directive, HCHV Handbook, and the Uniform Mental Health Clinical Services Handbook Performs other related duties and works other hours or days as assigned Work Schedule:

Master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. Verification of the degree can be made by going to http:

In addition to the basic requirements of employment, the following criteria must be met when determining the grade of candidates:
Education/
Experience:
One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills in a specialty area or in administration demonstrating progressively more professional competency and judgment. Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience. Licensure/Certification. Individuals assigned as Supervisory Social Workers must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. Ability to independently organize work, set priorities, and meet multiple deadlines Knowledge of supervisory duties which includes clinical supervision, consultation, negotiation with other departments and quality improvement Ability to ensure provision of clinical social work services Ability to provide staff training and development Skill in interpersonal relationships in dealing with employees, team leaders, and managers References:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
